Amy Paton is a Melbourne-based sports and documentary photographer. She graduated from the Photography Studies College, Melbourne with an Advanced Diploma of Photography in 2014, majoring in Photojournalism.
Amy is the owner and founder of Amy Paton Photography, her own photography business where she supplies photography for sports matches, live music gigs, portrait sessions and weddings, amongst other occasional facets.
Amy currently works with GFP Studios in Melbourne, photographing high school formals and university graduations as a studio photographer, as well as working with Aussie School Photos as a school photo photographer. She also has recently worked with children and families doing Santa photography in the lead up to Christmas, and works with the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce photographing businesses for their websites.
Amy also has a strong passion for sports photography. She currently volunteers with the Northern Blues Football Club in the Victorian Football League as their official match day photographer for season 2014, as well as the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association as their official game photographer.
Her main career goal is to eventually work for AFL Media, The Herald Sun/The Age and/or Getty Images as a match-day photographer in sports such as the AFL along the likes of Wayne Ludbey and Colleen Petsch.
Amy's current and past clients include AFL Victoria, the Northern Blues Football Club, the Victorian Women's Football League, the North Ballarat Rebels Football Club, Reservoir Shopping Village, anon. and Jennifer Sheridan Floristry.
Amy is a current member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, and she has entered her own images in both the 2014 AIPP Victorian Epson Professional Photography Awards, and the 2014 AIPP Australian Professional Photography Awards.
