Andrew Hardy grew up on the North West Coast of Tasmania, in a rural community named Forest close to where he was born, in the small town of Burnie. With a fast growing love and passion for all things photography, Andrew started out photographing friends riding BMX and skateboarding, later developing his people photography alongside a passion for landscapes.
Having his first solo exhibition at age 17 at a venue in Burnie, the passion grew and Andrew was accepted into tertiary studies at Photography Studies College (PSC) in Melbourne where he developed his skills in the digital photography and multimedia fields. Starting a weddings photography business in early 2014 and having various images published online and in print, and winning awards nationally within the field over the final two years at PSC.
Andrew has expanded his photojournalistic style to document his own hometown of Forest most recently, creating a series of images portraying home farm, and family life on the rural coast of Tasmania.
