Working in the graphic design field, I’m often dealing with many photos, images either from clients or photographers. Many times I wasn’t happy with the supplied images due to poor quality or ‘didn’t look right’. I imagined I could take those shots myself if I just had a short photography training course.
With encouragement from my supervisor, I did a 3 months basic photography at Photo Image Photography College. I then realised I could take photography more seriously by committing myself further in studying at Photography Studies College to become a photographer after graduating.
I’ve received a Silver Award 2014 from AIPP Epsom awards 2014.
I’m currently working in both Graphic Design and Photography fields, sometimes I combine both skills for some of my clients.
I enjoy getting involved in variety of photography topics: portraits, architectural, landscape, product shots, events, corporate or industrial environments.
I am inspired by architectural photographer John Gollings and landscape photographer Mark Grey. I also working closely with my mentors: Michael Downes (Architectural Photographer), Scott McNaughton (Photojournalist) and Ian van der Wolde (Commercial Photographer) to improve my photography skills and knowledge.
I have been working for various clients: Boral Construction Materials, USG Boral, AB Group, MACH Building Group & 3G Homes Pty Ltd, Canterbury Sink & Tap, Mary & Steve The Caterers, Social events such as weddings, engagement, big birthday parties, etc...
I am planning to keep on working in both Graphic & Photography fields after finish my study in November 2014.
